We have been up to so much this fantastic welcome week. Starting off, we promoted our club on College Green. Every year during welcome week Ohio University has an involvement fair, we had the pleasure of joining hundreds of clubs on campus and promoting our club and show season for the semester.
On Tuesday we had our first general body meeting, this is a meeting we have every week at 7pm for our club members to come and learn about all the happenings in the company. It was a packed house in our meeting. We talked all about auditions, our shows for this year, and introduced the exec members and directors.
We then had our auditions for the fall season on Wednesday and Thursday 6-9pm. Many new and old members showed up to showcase their talent. After Thursday's auditions callbacks lists were posted!
Saturday was a big day for the company, it was callbacks and cast list day. A very anxious but very fun time for everyone! The Rocky Horror callbacks were in the morning which included a dance call by our very own Sarah Cooper. As well as some singing and sides. After those were wrapped up we headed to the play callbacks. Play callbacks consisted of 30 minute time slots with cold reads.
After all the callbacks were finsihed the directors got together for what we call "director showdown" which sounds much scarier than it is. Director showdown is just where all the directors get together and make their casts lists. Cast lists were then posted on our social medias and that concludes our hectic week in LFC.
We are beyond excited to get this year started and get some amazing shows on the stage. Keep reading the blogs for more updates as our season kicks off!
