Student theater group to perform “The Laramie Project” during Transgender Awareness Week
Ohio University’s student-run theater company, the Lost Flamingo Theatre Company, will perform “The Laramie Project,” a play about the reaction to the 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay student at the University of Wyoming whose murder was denounced a hate crime and brought awareness to the lack of hate crime laws in the U.S. The performance will he held Nov. 19 and 20 at ARTS/West in Athens.

‘The Laramie Project’ examines past, questions progress
Ohio University’s Lost Flamingo Theatre Company will perform The Laramie Project at ARTS/West, 132 W. State St., on Friday and Saturday. A verbatim theatre production, The Laramie Project recounts the murder of Matthew Shepard and his town’s reaction to it through real words said in interviews conducted with Laramie residents.

The Lost Flamingo Company adapts to COVID-19, returns with spring shows
Ohio University's original entirely student-run theatre organization, the Lost Flamingo Company, or LFC, is proud to announce its Spring Semester productions. Audiences can expect nothing less than innovative entertainment from its upcoming performances.
Like for many, the past year did not go as planned for LFC. However, it persevered, taking time to adapt to a virtual setting.

Lost Flamingo’s ‘Rocky Horror’ postponed for first time since 2002
For the first time since the fall of 2002, Lost Flamingo Theatre Company, or LFC, won’t be doing the “Time Warp” for audiences.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, LFC was forced to postpone its annual production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show until further notice.

Theater troupe at OU to present, count 'em, 30 plays
The Lost Flamingo Theatre Company is presenting an unpredictable play this weekend that includes ample audience interaction. “Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind: 30 Plays in 60 Minutes,” will be performed by the company at 8 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday in Ohio University’s Baker Center Theater.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Reunites Fans at its Return to the Union
The Lost Flamingo Theatre Company is celebrating its 15th annual live performance of Rocky Horror. This year, the show is back at its usual location: The Union’s second floor. Last year, due to the November 2014 fire on Union Street, the show was held at Jackie O’s Pub and Brewery.

OU play about school shooting to benefit Chardon victims
An Ohio University student-run theater company is presenting a play tonight and Saturday that deals with the topic of high school shootings. Production of the play was in the works prior to the Feb. 27 shooting incident at Chardon High School, which left three students dead and three others wounded.

Lost Flamingo launches spring season with "Short Stack"
This Friday and Saturday, the Lost Flamingo Company will present Short Stack, a compilation of eight short student-written plays. The shows start at 8 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium in OU's Siegfred Hall. This is the fourth year of Short Stack, which has since its inception produced more than 30 short plays by students from all majors, from playwriting to music.

Ohio University's Lost Flamingo Company added to the ever-present chills in the air last weekend with their production of playwright Ira Levin's acclaimed thriller "Deathtrap" at Baker Theater. The Tony Award-nominated play was a nail biter that kept audiences guessing until the very end.

Every year Ohio University students put on their best black garters and line up at The Union for their annual helping of Meatloaf at "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," one of numerous plays and performances put on each year by the Lost Flamingo Company (LFC).

Finding the Lost Flamingos
The Lost Flamingo Company got its start four years ago. OU students Hugh McMullen, Jes Daniels, Harland Chambers and Liz Brown decided that non-theater majors, people who had done theater in high school or recreationally, needed an outlet to continue performing.
