The Lost Flamingo Theatre Company

Our Mission Statement: Lost Flamingo Theatre Company is Ohio University's only student-run theatre company, focused on providing numerous opportunities to create and be immersed in affordable theatre in the Athens community. Producing four shows each semester, including three plays and one musical, each aspect of our company from the acting, directing, producing and funding is done by students. The company welcomes Ohio University students and Athens area residents interested in theater to be involved.

"The Lost Flamingo Company got its start in 2002. OU students Hugh McMullen, Jes Daniels, Harland Chambers and Liz Brown decided that non-theater majors, people who had done theater in high school or recreationally, needed an outlet to continue performing. The name was coined after one of the founders described the company’s members as feeling like “lost flamingos” in other majors but really coming alive when performing." Click here to learn more about LFC's history.
