For the Geeks, I Mean Greeks

Our first show of the season is fastly approaching and we are more than thrilled for the debut of Antigone. We wanted to introduce our directing team before the show and let you get to know the brain of the operation.

Up first is Savanah Stachler who we saw last assistant directing 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche we are more than excited to have them take on this role as the director of Antigone. We asked her why she show this show and in respose she said "I read Antigone in AP English my senior year of high school and fell in love with it. The dialogue is crazy, the characters are cool, the story is absolutely wack, but in the best way possible and I am desperate for more people to know and love this show"

Its an exciting experience being told you get to direct a show and when asked why she decided to take the leap and sign up to direct she said "I assistant directed five lesbians and it was the coolest experience ever. I love seeing all the little pieces of a show come together and fostering a fun environment for the cast and crew". Which I think all of our directing teams can agree with.

Next, is the assistant director Eryn Barrett. Eryn had a silly response to why she chose Antigone which was "I didn't actually choose this show, it chose me 😎". It was destiny if you will, which is funnily enough a common theme within Greek tragedies.

Eryn also said she is most excited for "our cast to bond and bring the show to life"! Which is without a doubt the most exciting experience as a director altogether.

Our Antigone diretors are hard at work putting this spectacular show together. So gear up in your togas and get ready to see the show March 21st at 7pm and 22nd at 2pm in Arts West!!
