We Are In A Flamingo State Of Mind!

"Quiet Flamingos"

LFC is back together for the spring semester and we are so excited for our season. The first few weeks back have been hectic and crazy but so much fun.

We started off our season with our first GBM on the semster, it was a great turnout and so much fun seeing LFC members new and old catch up and generate so much excietment for our show season. With it being so cold on campus we made our question of the week: Do you wanna build a snowmingo? Cue everyone singing Frozen. It was a wonderful meeting and had everyone super excited for auditions and tech interviews in the coming weeks.

We then has auditions for 2 days and due to the popularity of our show we had an amazing turn out, many students from different orgs showed up to audition. After callbacks were over the directors sat down and made callback lists which is never an easy task, once those were made they were sent out on our socials.

We had callbacks all day long starting off with musical callbacks in the morning which included scene work with partners and singing songs from the show. After those were finished there were play callbacks for our 3 plays this semester. Those were in 30 minute slots where groups read selected scenes for the play.

Then came the most difficult time of the selection process, diretcor showdown, directors got together and chose who was going to be in what show, a very hard process due to the amount of talent.

After audtions and casting was over it was time for our techies to get their moment. We held tech interviews after one of our GBMs. Tech interviews is how we chose our tech teams for each show. Our tech exec board members interview each member and select where they would best fit based on their interviews.

Once tech and cast members were decided rehersals began. We are very excited to get our season started and to showcase all the amazing talent we have in our company.

We also had our first fundraiser of the semester which was what we like to call AD Sale Day, it's where company members walk around the community and sell ads to local businesses. It's a super important day and ends up being a lot of fun for company members.
